Weed Infestation

So I'm trying to fill my second town with weeds for a badge, and time traveled 50 years, without much luck. What's the best way to have a town completely filled with weeds? (I don't have beautiful town)

If it's just a spare town cut all the trees down. Than TT 2 weeks or a month ahead at a time. Check the town for clovers and stars to get rid of them. Keep repeating until you reach a year. Make sure to check retail when you TT. Found all the perfect fruit at premium and a high turnip price. Made a lot of bells and weeds.
In a town full of perfect fruit I had 600 plus weeds to pull after a year of TTing. With no trees I would have had more.
If you want the weeding furniture than just TT enough to get Leif outside to win the prizes. Send your player over to pull the weeds to get the out of town gifts.

I think this is the best advice one can get for the weeding medals and events. Although I have to be honest, I am afraid of time traveling after a lot of little disaster I have done to myself like lose Villagers I want to stay with. So I think I'll wait patiently.

omg!!! if youre doing this can i come visit your town so i can get liefs stuff??? i have the screen *its gorgeous!* and the lily record player and i want the whole set! but...can it be done going to someone elses town? or does it have to be your own?

Pretty sure it can be done in other towns if your town doesn't have the necessary weeds, but I tink it might have to be done on weeding day. Sean might also want the weeds to himself xD.
