Waking Gulliver

Back in New Leaf, the megaphone was a quick way to wake Gulliver. I just whacked him with a net and he stood up, possibly with some different dialog.

I’ve seen people post that it wakes him up instantly. I’ve not seen him for a while so haven’t managed to attempt it!

Hitting him doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe I'm hitting him too softly... need a bucket of water.

hitting him did not wake him immediately in my experience : ( it just seemed to take the same amount of time as talking to him, and i’ve tried it twice. maybe i just did it wrong somehow

The first time I whacked him with a net (by kinda accident, I wanted to see if he'd react) he woke up instantly. The next few times I whacked him he did wake up quicker for me. It took more than 1 or 2 hits, but he def was up and at 'em quicker than listening to him gush water out of his nozzle.

I was just going to post this LOL. He's washed up on these shores so many times, I think he deserve a whacking. I do also miss the megaphone though. I always think about it when I'm running around trying to find a villager.

Net wacking! Ive actually never thought of trying that! I'd rather that than mashing A a bunch of times, hoping he'll wake up.

It takes me 2-3 fewer times if I just wack him, sometimes its a bit cathartic after he insults you and your big head
