I did, nothing happened... restore in progress, then it finished and nothing.

Did you have stuff not from the iTunes store on there? D= Because I do and it said that if I were to connect it all my stuff that wasn't purchased would get deleted. So maybe that's what happened to you?

Yeah everything was on itunes then after the update it was gone I went to restore nothing..

First of all, is everything still on iTunes on your computer? If it is, then there's no reason to flip out. As long as it's there, you still have it.

I hit "restore" does that affect anything?

And encrypted an ipod back up password.

Start Menu>My Music> iTunes> iTunes Media> Choose whatever folder for what you need.

Then just click and drag into iTunes.

You shouldn't have to. I'm pretty sure they're linked to the iTunes account that you used to buy them so as long as you know the password I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get them back without having to re-buy them. I don't exactly know how though... Try Google ? If not try emailing Apple.

It's in there. They're in the folder called "Mobile Applications"

Did you by chance have a jailbreaked iPod and you updated it? If so then you really screwed up.
