I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before? Like if I have Beau in my town and I go to another town who also has Beau and I talk to theirs what will happen? Can you even find them?
If anybody wants to try this with me I have: Ankha, Bam, Beau, Kiki, Lolly, Mitzi, Rory, Tangy, and Zucker!

That?s good to know.. I always wondered what would happen if you did that. If they recognize you or if they would act like a different clone and they never knew you.

Yep, I can confirm that I've experienced the same as Nunnafinga. When I meet one of my current villagers in a dream town, they recognize me and speak to me like they know me.
On a side note, when I run into former villagers of mine who have moved out and speak to them in a dream town, they have no recollection of me and talk to me as if I were a stranger.
I don't like meeting them in towns, but seeing them in dreams is great. They act so weird, almost like they're guilty about being in someone else's town aside from yours, so they pretend like they don't know how they got there and that they are excited to see you. It cracks me up.

I knew about how they act when you seem them in dream towns, but I didn't know what they acted like when you went to a different town. I assumed it was the same as the dream, and would act like they were just visiting the town just like you. I'm honestly kinda sad to find out that isn't the case

I had tangy in my main town, she moved out into the void. At the same time as my other town had tangy! So it wasn't directly the same character, we just both had her randomly. I introduced my mayor of my main town and she goes "I think we met in another life, I'm tangy nice to meet you"!!!!
I find it really fun that the same villager in a dream kinda recognizes you and says "hey, I know you!" When I was borrowing my mom's town to do some dreaming, some of her villagers said the same thing. It's a really neat feature.
It's really nice when I just go to some random dream town and find a villager I know as they'll recognize me. It's also a little sad to find villagers that moved away that have no idea who you are.
Yeah all the time. Just recently my friend got Flurry in her orange themed town of Citron, and while showing for a random visit my own Flurry have me an orange. We concluded that they must be in cahoots with one another.
