hey guys I was wondering does any1 know how to get rid of villagers u don't want bc I have complained to Isabell bout them but they don't move towns? I have tried it for so long now but still nothing has happened. my acnl friends say u have to talk to other ppls villagers to Make them move? is that true

would love some help and feedback on how to make them move if even possible :)

The best way to get villagers to move out, from my experience, is to greet every villager--including the ones you don't like (in order to get them to ping you for a move out/other) and fast foward time by 2-3 days and repeat the process. Make sure to have Beautiful Town Ordinance in place so that none of your flowers wither from time traveling. (Villagers ping you every 5 minutes or so as long as your not near them, or you can use the jellyfish trick in order to get villagers to ping you faster.) If you have 10 villagers in your town, the process of moving out unwanted villagers will go faster.

...Or you can just use amiibos to force villagers out of your town. But how fun is that? pfft!

As for talking to villagers from other player's towns, I've never heard of that method for moving out villagers in your own town, so I can't tell you if that would actually work or not.

Complaining to Isabelle is really only useful for resetting a villager's catchphrase or clothing in case you pick up an inappropriate villager from someone else.

For getting a villager to move, there are two schools of thought. Some people say that ignoring villagers works best. In my experience, though, befriending them is the best option.

It's random whichever villager will decide to move and I doubt there's any way to control that aspect, but if you befriend them, they will ping you about their move so you know when it'll happen. Plus, they're more likely to agree to move after pinging you if your friendship is high. If not, they can change their mind because they want to work on becoming better friends.

Once you know a villager is leaving, to make sure they don't change their mind before their moving date, you can ignore them.

Complaining about villagers, as said above, if only for resetting a villager's clothes, catchphrase, and greeting. The villager's friendship with you is not affected by doing this.

Based on my experience- though it varies sometimes- your best option is to ignore the villager you wish to leave completely. This will cause the game to kinda register them as 'unnecessary', and the villager will ping you to move. Just make sure you talk to almost everyone else but the said villager you want to leave.

Hitting a villager with nets or hammers, having a friend talk to them, sending them 'mean' letters- none of this works too well. Bad attention is still attention. Doing all these will likely raise their friendship. Simply ignore them.

In my experience, befriending villagers makes it easier for them to move out. It seems like they always want to leave you after you get close to them :'( I would honestly just keep talking to everyone daily as you always have and time travel around to speed up the process of RNG. Also, if the villager you are planning to move out is the last villager that moved in (the 10th villager), it's likely that they wont leave until someone else moves out. It's not that it's impossible for them to, but in most people's experience it takes a really long time!
