Villagers you were shocked aren't in the popular lists?

*PLEASE DON'T JUST LIST VILLAGERS YOU LIKE. *

This isn't about villager you like (although you can like them). This is about villagers you expected everyone to go nuts over (like Marina or Julian) or even slightly nuts about like people are for Phoebe or let's say...Tangy.)

But for some reason they may even be in Tier 5 & it BLOWS YOUR MIND!

O.k... so here is my "what the heck?!?" list:

Celia (she is sooo pretty, the only nice eagle!)
Gayle (that pink crocodile! A--PINK--CROCODILE!!!)
Kidd (the purple smug goat with the little vest!)
LIONEL (A SMUG LION!)
Drago..the ONLY dragon is not nearly as rated as Julian or Phoebe (other one-of-a-kind-types) &
Savannah...the ONLY ZEBRA!

But most of all CELIA!



A pretty eagle with rosy pink cheeks, white feathers & pretty colours?! That is such a Tier 1-2 kinda thing. All the pretty/pink/unique villagers go there.
It's obvious. it's like no one noticed her. It's weird.

Drago's lips is a total turn-off for me. Initially I thought he looks super cool, but when I got him on the campsite he looked horrendous. Celia, Gayle, Lionel, and Gala weren't so popular because most players only seek for the "cute" species. Only a few appreciate pigs, alligators, lions, eagles, chickens, monkeys, etc.

Anyway, I thought that these villagers would be popular, but they're not:

• Nana and Shari: The former is very pink and the latter is pastel-colored. With so many pink and pastel-themed towns, why aren't they sought after at all? Oh wait, they're monkeys.
• Dotty: While I think she's alright, this isn't actually a biased opinion at all. Dotty's design is simple but it had a fascinating quirk and her house looks amazing. I know there's so much peppy rabbits, but I think Dotty needs more love. She can go well with Coco with their creepy-cute looks.
• Chadder: I know a lot of AC players hate mice, but there are a lot which are a total sucker for food-looking villagers like Meringue and Frita. He's so small and gentlemanly, to top it off with his gimmicky cheese mouse appearance.
• Pinky: A pink panda. I thought she will be loved because she's a female pink panda, but nah. I admit that her house doesn't look the best at all, but there were villagers that are popular yet they have terrible houses *cough*Marshal and Kid Cat*cough*

Bruce: he starts out with a After School Jacket and he is BLUE! most people love blue.. plus he looks like a gazelle almost, not to mention most crankies are popular, like Fang
Purrl: I love calico cats...
Bam, Merry: loved them till the end
Moe: he just looks awesome with those light blue swirls in his fur, and once again with bruce with the blue fur
Eugene: he has SUNGLASSES
Monique: she is a sweetiepie and needs more love
Kabuki: he looks like a WARRIOR with those red swirls in his fur... not to mention most crankies are popular, like Fang

Chrissy and Francine... I recently decided that I wanted them in Bevelle... as Bevelle is pink, blue, purple and white so I figured they would fit in well

Having looked around TBT, I know that there are a lot of people like them... yet they are at the lower end of Tier two? I don't pay that much attention to tiers normally, but as I was looking to buy them from here I went to check for pricing purposes...

Also, I don't understand why people don't like Frank He was one of my original villagers and he was really cool... but there was even a thread on here at one point, entirely devoted to hating him Poor guy.

Peanut: Can't believe it, that this cute, pink squirrel is a tier 4 villager...
All the time, I was thinking she's a tier 2 villager.

Big Top, Agent S and Rocket: I never understand it, how it could be, that Kid Cat
is the only "superhero-villager", which is really popular, while the other three guys are
tier 4 or tier 5. There need more attention, just my opinion.

Kidd: Such a cool guy with a nice look and he's tier 5? Needs also more attention!

Olaf: Like Peanut, I was also thinking, that Olaf is higher on the list, the more shocked
I was when I found out that he is also a tier 5 villager. I mean, he looks like Michael Jackson
as a anteater!? How can he be so unpopular?

Celia: Such a beautiful girl and so underrated!

Caroline: This villager with the beautiful blue eyes needs more love!

There are more villagers, which I think, that there need more attention, but I think the list
would be to long then, when I count all...

I think Timbra is really awesome! honestly one of the best designed sheep... (lots of eyes closed, weird coloring) but for some reason every other sheep is higher ranked than her basically!

I totally agree on Celia! she is amazing, I miss her in my towns, but she doesn't fit any where and I like Avery as my eagle much more

Avery too is a great designed eagle, and my choice! Its bogus that people write off total species like that....

Annalise is a really great looking horse, laced with pink and a flower! I don't know why, not as many people look for her

I typically look for the villagers who still remain true to their species and colorings, but maybe tweaked just a little bit to make them interesting!

Celia is cool, I dont like the eagles too much bc their layout and design but her name is cool

Also, a lot of the deers LIKELOPEZ HOW THE HELL ARE YOU DOWN THERE. And Shep.. fff that dog is awesome.

Anyhow, tier systems are stupid as hell. It's not that you can decide who to get cause the game has a RNG system to do this.

Aww, I didn't know that. Pripyat is 9 months old and Frank is the only starter I still have. I'll probably let him go eventually. Not because I don't like him, but because I need to start moving villagers out for some new blood.

I'm in the same boat with you! I have Nana, Shari, Chadder, and Dotty in my main town, and most of them (especially Nana) were difficult to get my hands on, which is a shame because they are so darned cute! There isn't nearly enough love for the big bears, and while I don't like Pinky that much, villagers like Tutu and Grizzly need more love! Some of the other underrated villagers I've seen are Eunice and Wendy, no one wants the "boring" sheep, but I love Wendy, who I lost due to a TT accident, and Eunice who is my birthday buddy! Midge is a pretty pink bird as wel, but I guess since she is a bird no one wants her!

I admit I don't like some species designs.

I don't really like the monkeys, gorillas, elephants, tigers, dogs (love in real life, can't stand them in New Leaf) ducks, penguins & cows.
I haven't liked any I've met so far!

But you have to give most things a chance. I thought i wouldn't like sheep, mice, horses & hamsters either---but there is now at least ONE from all of those categories that i like.

So I've given a lot of villagers a chance, even though there was much I didn't like at first because if I based this off looks I don't like how most of the animals look.
But i love their personalities & kindness.

Like Bella the mouse, i understand why she is a low tier (unpleasant design) but you let them grow on you & they start looking cute.

These replies are lots fun to read & I find other preferences interesting to me. Eagles seem really cool to me, like Wolves...

Penelope, Bree, Doc and Bonbon are all super cute- I will never understand for the life of me how they're all in the bottom tiers

Julian the Unicorn, the Woolly Mammoth (forgot his name), Drago the Dragon, all of the Octopi since only 3 of them exist, Kat the saber tooth cave cat, Pheobe the Pheonix, Savannah the only Zebra, Ribbot the Robot Frog, Lucky and Ankha the mummies, Papi the Okapi... I could probably find more that should at least be in tier 2 imo.

Penelope. She's got a BOW FOR EARS! WHAT IS NOT ADORABLE I JUST...can't.

I expected Penelope to be at least tier 2, maybe 3. Not 5.

Personally, I'm surprised at the low rankings of Cranston, Vesta, and Spork.

Cranston is intended to be a crane, so I'm surprised that he isn't often wanted for Zen towns.
Vesta is the image of the typical sheep - I would think she'd be used a lot in nature and farm towns.
Spork... well, Spork is Spork. I fell in love with him as my lazy in Fishbowl, and I like him for being one of the few natural-looking pigs - not bright pink, or blue, or any other ridiculous colouring.

Seriously, there are so many sweet (and sweet-looking) villagers in the lower tiers, and it's a shame that they don't get much love.

Victoria, Annalisa, Bangle, Papi, Drago, Blanche... I could go on for a week, I swear. XD
