Is there guide on how much villagers are worth in bells?

It all depends on how popular the villager is and how much it sells for regularly

tier 2 - sell your body
tier 3 - sell your goods
tier 4 - puppy in a box
tier 5 - doorstop flyers

The more popular the more bells. If you go to the villager trading board there is a thread at the top that shows the villager popularities.

Tier 1 - 15m+
Tier 2 - 10-15m
Tier 3 - 5-8m
Tier 4 and 5 - Probably free.

You can view the tiers of popularity to get an idea (of course Tier 1 generally sell for the highest). Otherwise I just used to search recent threads selling the villager to get an idea of a suitable starting bid and buyout.

It's not always set in stone though. Sometimes really popular ones go for less and sometimes less popular ones can go for more than you would think. It all just depends on the individual people and sales.

I find that even though Molly and Skye are not yet popular enough for tier 1, they sell for 20-30 mil most of the time lately.

Best way to get your villagers is through campsite or resetting.

But there are a lot of giveaways in the Villager Trading Plaza so you can look for that too.

I tend to offer 5 mil for a villager because I feel it is worth the bells to be able to choose them. I paid 10 mil for Static because he is my favorite villager. I don't think any villager should be worth more than 10 mil, I don't care how popular they are.

In my experience:
Tier 1: depending on who between 10-40M
---Marshall is obviously a circus when he goes up and goes for a ridiculous amount, Beau and Merangue I've seen tough auctions as well, but most of the others I've seen go closer to 10M than 40M
Tier 2: Again, a variety but I'd say buyout is typically 15M, but auctions around 8-15M
Tier 3: 1-5M, depending on whether anyone is looking for that villager, sometimes you can find someone, sometimes you can't, so sales tend to fare better over auctions
Tier 4-5: I've tried to give them away and only get a response rarely. However this means it's hard to find these villagers if they're a dreamie so I always look through the last week on the LF sticky post to see if I can give them to a good home :3

This thread >here< was made to give people an idea of how much villagers are worth when buying and selling them. Tier one villagers are obviously worth more, while tier 5 villagers will be the least valued ones.

It's updated regularly I think.
