Not that I can think of, but I LOVE putting random furniture on the beach and seeing how the villagers react. Like beds, chairs, musical instruments (not furniture OK), and that cardboard thing with the hole for your face (I made mine a sumo wrestler).

Audie and Bud come to mind immediately. Also, I’m not sure if you are aware, but you can now edit the house interiors of your villagers. You can give any of them a beach interior if you desire. You aren’t limited to the villagers mentioned here.
