Of course that if you gift villagers accessories, they can sometimes wear them. Some villagers seem to own accessories by default, though, like Coco with her glasses. I think Merry has a pink ribbon as well. What are some others that have accessories they put on/take off by default? It's a really cool feature and I want to see more villagers who do this!

Villages with the "fashion" subtype will have their own (non-gifted) accessories! I'm not sure if there's a list of which accessories they will use, but they do seem unique to them.
For example, when I had Vesta she would wear an orange flashy hairpin. I really would like to hear what other people's fashion villagers wear, if it's one particular item or chosen from a pool.

I only know that O'Hare have a hat. It's cool that they have their own accessory! I don't know who else that have their own accessory
Don't the specific accessories vary by villager, though? I could have sworn my villagers with the same hobby have different accessories.

With the villagers with the fashion hobby there is a bit of variability, i think, specific to their color preferences, etc. with the fitness hobby they always wear the sporty shades though, at least when they are doing their hobby. And the reading glasses for the education hobby are all the round glasses, in my experience.
