Villagers who left moving back?

Hopefully the villagers I want to move out actually move out so I can get Fauna back faster. On the bright side of all this, I will be getting Fang from Niya, who was one of my dream villagers (I just wanted any of the cranky wolves really). Still, I'd much rather have Fauna back.

I think I know how you feel. But someday, right? Anyway, I'm very happy you got one of the coveted wolves!

how far are you guys time traveling for them to be stealthy moving out?

Hope you guys get your villager back eventually though!

When I did it, I never traveled more than 2 days. This was Thursday, so I traveled to Saturday. Then I'd return to Thursday, ad infinitum. I was trying to trigger the villagers' move out response. That said, each time you do that, the game counts it as one day forward. To give you an idea of how much travelling happened: by the end of it, I had four Jacob's Ladders (three of which died in the process), the golden watering can, and T.I.Y. To be clear, I really didn't want these things to happen yet, just for Lyman, Gabi, and Tangy to move, but I guess I lacked a lot of knowledge because I didn't think all of that would happen. So I guess the game must have counted it as, I dunno, more than 20 days?

Did you guys talk to some of your villagers multiple times to see when they talk about "oh I heard villager X is moving" to see?
or you just walked around for the alert marking?

I just want to see what I should avoid doing to prevent a stealth move out.

This was what scared me so much. I walked around with the megaphone and talked to everyone. Constantly. I used the megaphone to search people I couldn't see immediately on screen. Only characters I didn't talk to were the ones that went into shops. And even then, the "neighbor is moving" dialogue never came up. Total surprise when I boot up and Isabelle tells me Drake is packed up ;_;

That said, I only spoke to people on the return trip, rarely or never when I was on Saturday. I have no idea if that had anything to do with it.

Ohh, if only they would post villagers moving out on the bulletin board!
You would think a town of only 10 people + yourself, someone moving out would be considered a big deal.
You mention you traveled Thursday to Saturday, were you doing the 2 day forward and 2 day back method?

Oh my dear sweet goodness, I agree with you so much about the bulletin board thing. It's such a small town, it only makes sense.

When I first got my game, I would put up a post on the board welcoming new villagers along with sending a welcome letter to the newbie. Made the place seem homey Kinda sad those posts were erased with the 15 post limit, but I did take screenshots of them, so there's that.

And yeah, I was doing the 2 day method. Heard about it on Thursday, got fed up of waiting for neighbors to move who seemingly had no intention of doing so, and tried it.
