I let Ankha move to my friend's town because he really loves her and he has an Ancient Egyptian theme going on. While I have a lot of regret, it makes me happy to know that she still talks about me. A lot.

She really doesn't stop.

Today he told me he ended up making her mad because he was trying to get a different dialogue option than "Cig from Taiga Bay's title is so impressive."

A friend of mine has my number 1 favorite boy Lobo in their island and does not mind letting him move into mine when the time comes, but I am now aware that he may talk about them too much for my liking. I would hate for my favorite boy's personality to revolve around talking about them all day.

I have a few villagers originally from other islands, namely Coach and Curt. Coach does not talk about his original home at all, while Curt just moved here so I have yet to see. I know that the people that I got these villagers from did not like them, so they did not talk to them. Maybe this has something to do with it, because I talked to Ankha a lot (she is best girl.)

Does anyone else have a similar experience with a villager from another island that they want to share? For those that do not stop talking about their original home, does this go away after a while?

I got Muffy from someone’s void when I was trying to do the personality plot trick, and even in the short amount of time I had her while trying to cycle her out, I was surprised and annoyed at how she only ever talked about her previous town! It really puts me off of wanting to get any villager through a trade, and I think it should be toned way down.

From what I understand, repetitive dialogue can be a big problem until you improve your friendship level with a villager, at which point it gets a lot more diverse. Maybe this is a factor?

This could be a big reason why Coach doesn't talk about his previous town for me, I befriended him pretty fast because I talked to him every day and gave him rare shells.

i adopted raymond from someone's town, i'm not sure how much they spoke or interacted with him but raymond hasn't mentioned his previous town at all since the first time i spoke to him when he was unpacking his boxes, he's the only villager i've adopted from someone else's island

Considering all my villagers are original to my game and they are constantly talking about people who come to visit and it's super annoying, I think I'd probably have to move out anyone who was always talking about their previous life lol.

I adopted Audie from someone else's island, and she's only mentioned her past town once. She was telling me about how they gave her the shirt she was wearing (which I promptly reported to Isabelle lol)

hmm that's interesting, i only have one villager from another town and he's never mentioned it once.

I'll have to ask my husband to see if Shep talks about me a lot. He managed to pick him up from my void yesterday.

i got henry from somebody’s void and he’s never talked about where he came from

My villagers like to talk about people who I let in for DIY recipes and I’m like errrr okay but I haven’t adopted any villagers from people yet I’m too scared of the bug still

Bones doesn’t talk about his past life much. He’s only done so twice. Once when he was moving in and another when talking about his brown sweater vest. I don’t know how much the last owner befriended him, I did start giving him gifts and talking to him a lot right away.

I adopted both Merengue and Phoebe, they don't seem to ever talk about their old towns. Probably friendship level from the last town is a factor to it.

I get dialogue about player titles from villagers who never lived in those islands! Other than that, I don't think the adopted ones actually talk about their old islands at all.

To be honest, I don't think I would mind hearing a villager talk about their old town as long as it's not the only thing they ever talk about. Sort of makes it seem more realistic.

I've never adopted another person's villager though, so maybe it would get old. I don't know. Though I personally think it's cute when they talk about people who have visited my island. That sort of thing doesn't bother me at all.

All my villagers are "original" but if it's anything like the CONSTANT talk about my mule character then I'll never have anyone move in from someone else's island.

I've adopted Zucker and Sherb from other people and not once have they talked about their old place and honestly this is something that irks me. I was thinking well i have no choice they have what I want. But thankfully all this time they've never talk about their old locations. What I do hate is how they constantly talk about the visitors that come by when doing trades. Its like no honey they're not going to visit again.
