Villagers taking each others catch phrases

So I noticed that when I taught Lily her catchphrase "Ring Ring ☆" (it's a jjba/doppio reference) some of my other animals like Kid Cat started saying it too! I taught Twiggy her catchphrase "Bossu☆" (Again a jjba/doppio reference) Diana says it now! I miss her "No doy" catchphrase..and Reneigh now says Lily's catchphrase instead of her "Ayup yup" WHY?!

The phrases catch on like wildfire, and I hate it too! My husband and I jokingly made on villager's phrase, "I hate you!" to amuse ourselves and then everybody in town started telling us that they hated us. We had no idea the phrases would be catching! Shortly thereafter, SNL came out with that mean villager skit and we felt like that was our town LOL

yeah unfortunately they spread really fast so I've started giving them generic catchphrases that would suit everyone. If you reset everyone's catchphrase that should get rid of it!

They spread SO SO fast, I taught hamlet "ham ham" and bianca "Baskin" as a joke and now half my island is saying it... Wolfgang says ham ham now so now I just teach them species neutral catchphrases, mainly with symbols lol. So like ♡♥♡ or ~♪♪♪

How do I reset them?

you can go to Isabelle and ask her to reset the way each villager talks

I've gave Cookie Temmie's catchphrase, "i'm tEMMIE" and now about every villager is saying it(I don't know whether to find it annoying or amusing, to be honest )
