I always have the irrational hope that THIS time, when someone is visiting my house, they'll say, "Oh, you have my picture on display!" But, they never do. That would be pretty nice.
Yeah, it is a little silly that they won't notice them. I can't imagine that it would require very complex programming to incorporate that into the game (same goes for having each character utter at least 2-3 unique lines). Oh well...
While I'm at it, campsites ought to work like Nook's exteriors: if you go to a friend's town and talk to the camper, they should then be able to agree to camp in your town. If your friend ends up inviting them to move in, they don't show up in your town. Otherwise, they will.
I think this might just have to do with the sheer amount of stuff programmed into the game as-is, in addition to all the text we have already (nobody can deny it being a lot, even though we all hear the same things on a daily basis).

True. I'm not really a computing guru or anything of the sort but I think that adding a few extra lines per character wouldn't overburden the game much. But oh well... a girl can dream.
