@Bk1234 Oh, huh, I thought I had that setting on but I must have messed up somewhere. I have been checking the individual responses for "suspicious" votes to foil double-submissions, so hopefully that won't be a problem, but I still need to fix those settings so people can edit. I'm going to fix it for round 3, thanks for letting me know!

I got to admit, I didn't think I would like him that much but I picked him up from a campsite last week and he is growing on me. I could swear he's cuter in person than in his picture, is that possible?

Round 3 Preliminary results:
51 responses, Marshal and Marina are tied for the lead.
Cats are winning favorite species by a landslide and gorillas are winning least favorite by another landslide.
I'm going to try to let Round 3 go until we get 100 responses. Thanks for voting everyone!

The fact that Marshal and Marina are in the lead puzzles me...
I would have voted for cats as the best if Moe, Stinky, and Monique didn’t exist... 
Also, hippos are WAY worse than gorillas...

@Bk1234 I know right? I guess Marina was in the lead for the first round, so it's not a *complete* surprise, but then Marshal and Lolly (and Ankha) dominated the second round, and they're leading your competition, so I really thought Lolly would be beating Marina, but she's not at the moment.
Right now we have Marshal, then Marina, then Raymond leading, in that order. Well, Lolly still has time to catch up, I guess we'll see!
One thing that might be affecting results is the number of options that someone can select. So for the first round, we could select ALL our favorites, which means that Marina wasn't actually an ultimate favorite (we didn't choose her 'over' anyone). It's just that a lot of people somewhat mildly like her enough to select her, and apparently more so than people somewhat mildly like Lolly, who didn't even make the first two tiers.
But that doesn't explain why Marina is in people's top five choices now when she was not winning the top ten choices.
Why would she be more common in people's top five than Lolly, but less common in their top ten? I'm a bit confused. I guess we did eliminate quite a few villagers last round, maybe there were a bunch of villagers that were stealing votes from Marina, but now that they are gone, Marina is back to being a favorite.
At least Marshal is consistently popular. Good ol' Marshal.

I feel like he’s the only villager that has remained consistently popular in these type of polls. I thought Raymond who be also, but then he got in 9th place in my competition...At least Marshal is consistently popular. Good ol' Marshal.

Beau and Ketchup came in last with only 9 votes each.
Cats won most popular species by a large margin, followed by Deer and Squirrels.
Gorillas won least popular by an even larger margin, followed by... well, nothing, because the second place option (Mice) is an entire 21 votes behind gorillas. Poor gorillas.

Anyway, I’m not surprised to see Marshal win. I’m a bit surprised that Coco tied in second, since she creeps me out and I didn’t think she was THAT popular... I’m not surprised to see Ketchup as one of the low vote-getters. Cats at the top, no surprise, but deer are WAY better imo. I am disturbed to see that Gorillas and Mice topped HIPPOS as the ugliest villagers... Starstreak

@Bk1234 I gotta agree about the Hippos, I mean they are at LEAST uglier than mice, if not gorillas. But mice are a more common phobia, so maybe there's bias skewing the data there. I bet hippos would be a common phobia too if they hid in people's homes like mice! Did anyone consider that?

Glad to see that Sherb is edging out over Marshal. I think the reason Lolly and Raymond are falling is because they aren't in a lot of people's top THREE favorites.

Yeah, that must be why Lolly and Raymond are behind. It surprises me though, I really thought Lolly would make it all the way to end! I'm so confused about the consistency of these polls, lol.
Also, speaking of consistency, Marshal is back in first. Well, I'm glad he hasn't abandoned us.
Sherb and Marina are tied for second currently.
