Villagers on Main St.

So I had Phoebe a long time ago... I had her and then replaced her with Sprinkle (Sprinkle took over her spot) and then I did a 16 Cycle for Zucker which I recorded, and THEN I replaced Sprinkle with Celia and have had like 5 villagers move out since....

However Phoebe is walking around my main St. and its weirding me out and annoying me because I want her to live in town again.... anybody had this happen or no whats going on? I'm positive I haven't had her since long long ago

Villagers will stay on main street until the cycle is over. It's caused by the game being able to tolerate a total of 27 villagers at any given time. These are the maximum of 10 villagers taking residence, the 16 in the system memory, and a camper. When it reaches past 16 villagers, the game forgets it ever had that villager, and believes the new villager has never been met before.

Though if you have someone hold a villager that moved out for you, and then do the 16 cycle, and invite that exact same villager back, they remember you.

If it's the original villager that you had they will remember you but your game won't remember having them and will allow them to move back in.

ok this all is cool info I didn't know, but like why is Phoebe walking around main street? I haven't had her in AGES... and I wanna bring her back in

I'm just glad I haven't seen Tiffany or Pekoe yet. I was so glad to get those two out.

I love it, tbh. It's one of the best things about new leaf, in my opinion.

I also think that we should have the occasional wandering villager in our towns as well. Like maybe a random villager turns up to visit for a day, or the ones in the campsite actually COME OUT OF THE TENT

you be probably haven't moved at 16 villagers yet...it has to be 16 villagers after she has moved out, not before (i learnt that the hard way ;-; )
