When I actively play acnl my villagers ask to move out at a normal rate. About once a week someone would ping me to move. I haven't play acnl in months, I'd say about 4 or 5 if I had to guess. Today I decided to see what terrible fate my villagers have met and legit NO ONE has moved. My town is perfect just like I left it. I'm really happy but also really confused.

Is it possible that villagers move out less when you're not playing?

Did you deny a villager's attempt to move out the day you stopped playing the game? Probably so. If a villager asks to move, and you stop them, then you can time travel to any date and no other villager will have moved out.

Yeah I think I did actually but I didn't time travel. I started my game normally.

Move-outs when you're not actively playing are random. Someone could've moved out or you could have all of the villagers you started with.

I'm glad when you started playing again that nobody moved out!!
