Villagers not crafting?

All day yesterday and so far all of today, NONE of my villagers are crafting in their houses. I can usually find someone in their house...so this is odd. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know why?

Any help is appreciated!

Nope, everyone is/was awake! I even checked multiple times in the morning, afternoon, and night time yesterday but still no body was crafting. Thanks for your input! I hope it isn't a glitch either Apparently there's one where villagers can craft while they're in boxes, so I hope all of crafting isn't messed up...

Oh, it's not just me! I noticed it a couple times over the last few days (I haven't logged in yet today). Or I'll get one or two crafting sessions, but when I go back three hours later, no one is crafting.

I had people moving out (Saturday) and in (yesterday) so I was wondering if that was the issue, but maybe not.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one either! I was thinking maybe today is off because it's Cyd's birthday, but that can't be the case (I remember getting DIYs on Curlos'). I wonder what's going on...

Phil was just crafting, but some crafted at 9 am yesterday and then not at all for the rest of the day, so we'll see if it lasts. (And he gave me stupid log stakes. Grrrr.)

idk if this is actually how to fix it but it's worked for me before! so i really only play ACNH on my switch so i usually don't close the software and just put my switch on sleep mode until i wanna play again. sometimes i find that when the day changes when it's on sleep mode and i go around, even if my villagers are awake, no one's crafting. so i'll go save and quit and close the software, open it up, and i can find someone crafting! again not sure if that's how it actually works but it did for me i've only seen when no one's crafting when i just pick the game back up and not starting from the switch's home screen but idk if you guys had a different experience!

Usually saving and quitting makes somebody either start crafting, or resume crafting in the case of Julian being rather odd while my sister was visiting. She was able to get a recipe, but he just didn't want to give it to me.

There were also instances where the villager will stand far away from the crafting table. So you need to push the villager close to it so they would start crafting.

I got three DIYs yesterday! So maybe things are fixed? The last one was the fancy mum wreath which I didn't have, so thank you Mathilda!

I should have tried that. I mostly save and quit but I haven't been lately, so I bet this was the issue.

No, villagers should be crafting when you have visitors. You can talk to villagers who are crafting on someone else's island and they will give you the DIY recipe they are making.

Thanks everyone for your input! If things go wonky again I'll be sure to look back on this I usually always save and quit, but maybe just giving a reboot if things become odd wouldn't hurt! I haven't had visitors in a while besides a delivery or two, but I'll also make sure they're not interfering (and that my villagers are close to their tables ).

This game is really riff with gltiches. I haven't really been playing religiously or that much within the past two weeks, so I haven't noticed if they were or not crafting at all. I did have someone crafting when they were moving and they wouldn't give me the DIY because they acted as if they were packing up.

When Hazel was crafting one morning, I didn't have space in my inventory and since the DIY was a dupe I thought I wouldn't bother.
But the game kept her crafting the whole day so I decided to get the recipe.
Could that be it in your case?
Other than that, someone has always been crafting for me, unless the timing I play at is really usual and they're asleep.

That's interesting No body was crafting in my case and I always accept DIYs even if they are a dupe. I've been good today, but I'm still honestly worried that the crafting system will keep getting more bugs ;; Thanks for your input!
