Arrghh they never sit on the benches! I had 3 benches - one by the cafe(demolished), another in my park which I don't expect to see anyone sit on anyway and then another near where they all had their houses, but they never sit on them! I'm going to be demolishing the bench near where they all hang out because Gala plopped her house half way on the path so I need to budge it over a little (one space left and her house would have been in the perfect place haha!) - Anyway, even if I go and do something else for a bit and leave the game turned on they just don't sit.
Any ideas????
They will sit ONE day. None of my villagers sat on benches until in October (so about 3 months after I installed benches?) and now they sit quite regularly, you just have to wait :3
You have to wait a while. I installed a bench by re-tail so I demolished it and put it in the busiest part in town; sometimes four villagers are in that place at once. Even then, villagers sitting on your bench is really rare. I've had it for a while so now villagers sit on it often but they NEVER sit on my stumps xD
My villagers are on my stumps everyday, I guess it's just about luck. Bam is on the tire toy in my park everyday & Gaston's always asleep on the bench next to his house.
Well, as for me, when I first installed my yellow bench, Static was sitting quite often. It was when I first started too (he was a starter villager), so I guess it's just random luck.
