Villagers moving in and Villagers moving out Question

Hi guys hope you can answer my question pls.

I recently bought soelme amiibo cards and started with my hommie Julian. I was dead set on putting him in Hippeux House slot. On the 2nd day of scanning. Tucker decided to move out and I let him coz I want to replace him with someone else as well. This happened yesterday.

Now on the 3rd day. Julian decides to stay and i let him kick poor Hippeux out. When i checked Hippeux he is in boxes. Poor thing.

Now my question is...

1. Will Tucker be in boxes today too? Coz when i checked his house he was sleeping. And i thought in boxes villagers were always open.

2. Will i have 2 open plots tomorrow? With julian occupying one. Can i already look for a villager on mystery isle or adopt someone during this time?

Update: Tucker really is in boxes. So i have Hippeux and Tucker in boxes today.. didnt know that was possible
