I would think we can. Does anyone know if we can move villager homes after we place them? Since we know we can move our own home on and off the beach that might mean we can also do that with villager homes.

I think we can since they will be at the start of the island with us until we unlock the rest, crafted a vaulting pole, etc. Then we can relocate.
