Villagers for a forest town!

Recently, I noticed some villagers don't suit a forest. Can you guys please tell me what ten villagers (at least one from every personality) will suit a forest? Thank you so much for the person who thinks of an appropriate list c:

I made my second town into a forest town. Although its some way off being completed! I did move all the villagers in first, so just the landscaping left to do now. Anyway, some of the villagers I chose were purely because they were woodland animals such as Beau, Deirdre, Marshal, Mint and Molly.

If I were to pick some for each personality (which I did not as they were all dreamies) I would consider:
Normal: Fauna/Maple/Molly
Cranky: Fang/Bruce
Snooty: Diana/Pecan
Peppy: Bunnie/Ruby/Cheri
Smug: Marshal/Zell
Lazy: Beau/Erik/Papi
Jock: Bam/Teddy
Uchi: Deirdre/Tammy

An interesting idea - made me go & look to see what species would work well & there are a lot:
bear/bear cub
birds (some, not all fit)
deer
eagle
frogs
some of the horses (some don't fit well).
mice
rabbit
squirrels
wolf

Who you want in each species is up to you.
It depends on whether you are thinking of a temperate doemesticated type forest (so it would have deer, rabbits squirrels mice frogs etc) - or something further north and a bit wilder - wolves, bears & eagles. But Iggly? - a penguin in a forest, love it.

In my opinion, I think deer, cubs, bears and wolves suit a forest themes town the most.
If you're looking for a variety, maybe even some birds and cats???
The main 10 villagers that I suggest are:
Smug: Beardo, Henry, Lopez, Kyle, Zell or O'Hare
Lazy: Erik, Anchovy, Beau, Bones, Clay, or Tucker
Jock: Bam, Bill, Champ, Genji, Poncho, Rudy, Sly, or Teddy
Cranky: Bruce, Butch, Camofrog, Chief, Grizzly, Lobo, Rolf, Vladimir or Wolfgang
Uchi: Agnes, Charlisle, Deirdre, Frits, Hazel, Paula or Tammy
Snooty: Annalise, Blaire, Freya, kitty, Pecan, or Whitney
Peppy: Bangle, Bluebear, Bonbon, Carmen, Patty, Puddles, Tutu, or Winnie
Normal: Alice, Cally, Coco, Fauna, Goldie, Maple, Melba, Molly, Poppy, or Skye

I mainly picked out brown or green coloured villagers that will easily blend into the forest. I hope this helps c:

Like everyone I suggest Teddy I had lots of fun with him in ACWW. In my opinion he's the funniest jock villager

personally I would probably do mostly deer and bears/cubs. maybe a wolf or two

You also have to check their house exteriors. For my forest town, I went mostly with villagers with a hedge as their house fence. Here are my suggestions for each personality:

Lazy: Joey (baby ducks tend to be yellow and Joey has diapers on lol, best to put his plot near a pond coz he's a duck and to match his blue home)

Jock: Sheldon (an orange squirrel, quite unpopular which makes him unique)

Cranky: Frank (he's green and mean, his house is decent looking too and blends with nearby trees perfectly)

Smug: Henry (w/o a doubt, Henry is the best smug you can have for a forest themed town)

Normal: Maple (I have other favorites but just for variety, pick Maple)

Peppy: Flora (She and her house will definitely stand out but don't all peppy's aim for that alrdy?)

Snooty: Blanche (similar silhouette with Flora, but she's a stork - you can't get more natural than that, Blanche is also sweet-looking for a snooty)

Uchi: Deirdre (no other option lol - deer is a must have for a forest town imo)

Lazy: Drago, Beau

Normal: 1. Fauna is a popular choice, having had her myself for a while I can certainly agree that she's great to have and there's no deer better suited for a forest theme town but a ton of people have her so if you want to be unique I'd recommend others. 2. Molly is quite possibly the most natural looking duck in the game, she has a bit of blush but not so much it looks weird. 3. Maple the cub has a bit more noticeable of a blush than Molly but she still looks plenty natural.
Cranky: 1. Apollo is a bald eagle, one of the more natural looking eagles too. 2. Chief, nice natural looking red wolf, he'd look good in a forest town. 3. Fang is a decent wolf for a forest as well, might do better for a winter theme though.
Smug: 1. O'Hare is pretty natural looking, besides wearing a hat but the hat looks pretty natural too, I think it's a straw hat. 2. Henry is a pretty normal looking frog, nothing really stands out about him but in nature you kinda want that, whether you want it in your town is up to you.
Snooty: 1. Pecan is a mostly natural looking squirrel, there is some eye shadow but most snootys have that. 2. Robin is good, more blue colored than the natural black of a real problem but she's closer than most. 3. Tiffany is alright, her lipstick might be a bit odd but it isn't so overbearing that it makes her unnatural. 4. Whitney is a white wolf like Fang so once again she might be better suited for a winter theme and she is very popular so once again if you want to be unique there are other options but if you like her then it's your decision.
Jock: 1. Sparro is a very natural looking bird, he doesn't look half bad either. I have him myself as one of my temporary villagers and he seems suitable for a forest town. I plan to get rid of him eventually so if you're interested then message me, he's free to a good home as soon as he pings. 2. Teddy is a decent looking bear, he seems suitable. 3. Bill is good, like Henry he doesn't stand out much but he does look natural.
Peppy: There really aren't a lot of peppys suited for a forest, perhaps one of the rabbits like Dotty, Bunnie, or Ruby? If you don't mind Dotty's eyes turning an unnatural red when surprised then I have her as one of my temporary villagers, I could give her to you when she pings. Her appearance is more petstore rabbit than wild rabbit though, you might be better off with Bunnie.
Lazy: 1. Cole is a decent looking rabbit, I can't tell if he has a nose though. It may just be black like his fur but you may need to find the dream address of someone who has him to get a better look, I'd recommend doing that for any villager you aren't sure about really just so you don't regret getting them later. 2. Anchovy has a similar color scheme to Sparro so he looks pretty natural but he seems to have thick eyebrows and a bowl cut.
Uchi: Yikes, this is worse than peppy villagers for natural ones suitable for a forest. Deirdre I guess since everyone else recommends her, I had her myself so she seems ok, and her home is very suitable as well.

Just pick the ones you like best, you're the one that has to live with them so it's fine to go outside of a theme if there are villagers you like, hope this list helps a little.

You probably want some deer, wolves, frogs, squirrels, rabbits, eagles, ducks,cubs and bears. I'd say stick to natural designs.
