Villager's closet confusion

Yeah. It seems like villagers have other villager's clothes if they live next to each other. On my island, Peanut and Pashmina were neighbors at one point, and all of Peanut's clothes were in Pashmina's closet. Same goes for Peanut and Zell when I moved them next to each other: Opened Peanuts wardrobe to find all Zell's stuff. It doesn't actually take anything from their wardrobe though, which is good.
Hmm, in my town, Jambette and Dizzy don't live close to each other, so I don't think that has anything to do with it.
Huh really? That's weird, because for me it's only ever happened when they live close together. I remember seeing a post from a different site saying something similar. Maybe it's just a coincidence though.
i've also noticed the same with marshal. he had some clothing items in his mini fridge (lmfao...) that definitely does not belong to him. i've never seen him wear them out either. very likely that it's another glitch. not surprised with this game having endless glitches at this point.

I have this happening. Carrie has Wendy's clothes, Wendy has Tucker's, and I can't guarantee cuz he doesn't have a wardrobe but I'd bet that Tucker has Carrie's.
Interesting to note, these three were my 3 neighbors that moved in the plots initially. Maybe it's something to do with the order these 3 move in? Who knows.

I'll do some researching myself with this. Dizzy was my 3rd villager to move in and I believe Jambette was my 4th.
