Curt and Peaches! I had them both in NL and wanted them gone asap, espically peaches because her eyes creeped me out. I ended up really missing Curt because l loved him so much, and i want to give sweet Peaches a second chance and invite her to my island.

Naomi, for the brief time she lived on my island, was honestly really nice. I would've hated her based off her NL pictures, but wow the graphical updates in this game have just done so much good for even the uglier villagers and I find it a lot easier to like them. (then again it had the opposite effect for my old NL friend Rodney, poor guy. Still would take him over my current Lionel any day.)
I wanted someone else to move out but it was just Naomi offering to leave every time so I finally let her go. I'm sad I didn't think to give her that bohemian dress until the day before she moved - she looked stunning in it! So much better than her usual eyesore gown. Ursala just couldn't rock it the same.
She also left me with a piece of her antique furniture set - I can't remember whether it was the console table or the grandfather clock I now have but I appreciate her for it.
In my second NL town back in the day, I had a pig trio - Truffles, Pancetti and Rasher. I loved all of them. I have a screenshot saved where they all played hide and seek with me at once. Pancetti and Rasher were like my aunt and uncle. Truffles once broke my heart when she said wanting her to stay was the nicest thing anyone's ever said to her. Yep, Truffles, I thought, you're probably right about that. :'(

Canberra. Had her in the campsite, and needed an uchi. I really liked talking to her and even asked her to move in, multiple times. Finally after some persitance she said yes, and so far I like her. She gives me some tough girl vibes (like Helga from Hey Arnold) like she'd stand up for others being bullied because she was. Plus her house is island themed, which is what this whole game is about.

I understand why most people generically don't like the "unattractive" villagers. There's some I'll hop on the train for (no ty Elise sorry). But overall, a lot of the crazy looking ones (like tabby) are just so expressive and it really adds another endearing quirky layer to them.
So, maybe they got a face only a mom could love and I guess that makes me their mom. <3 No regrets.

Pekoe and Cashmere.
Pekoe's story for me liking her was when it was 2012 while I was playing City Folk. She moved in as a random villager and I hated her so much that I wanted her gone. But then I realized what a unique villager she was and started liking her a lot. So much so that I prefer her over every other normal villagers.
As for Cashmere, I hated her design so much that I hoped that she never returned. Turns out she did anyway and I felt devastated. One day I was like "I'll give her a try anyway", so I did and I surprisingly liked her. I have her in my New Horizons town right now. And no matter how ugly you say that she is to make me move her out, i'm keeping her.

dobie! i was island hopping and had recieved news that my grandpa had passed. i figured continuing to island hop would make me feel a little bit better, and the first island i get dobie. i almost busted out crying cause he's a grandpa and it brought me a lot of comfort. i invited him to my island and now i talk to him every day. :+)

Judy. (which I know sounds funny since she is so popular!)
I found Judy on an island tour while hunting for my dreamies (most of which are "bottom of the barrel" or low on the tier list lmao) and I couldn't say no since she is so highly coveted. I invited her to my island with the intention of selling her or giving her away (this isn't the first time I have done this), but I actually ended up really liking her! At first I thought her looks were cute, but nothing that special, just the typical "popular villager" look, but after getting to know her I now see what other people see in her. I had never really had a small cub before (I had Bluebear in new leaf but got him right when I completed my town so I didn't really talk to him that much), and really fell in love with Judy's small adorable features. I now know that saying good bye is going to be hard, but I am also looking forward to giving her away to someone who will really cherish her for a affordable price <3

Honestly has to be Tammi! I knew I wanted her anyway because shes cute but with a slight edge to her design? Either way she was the monkey of my Dreamies. What I didnt expect though was for my entire heart to leap out of my chest when I found her island hopping! I was super excited and ahhh I love her to pieces ♡ I wish I saw more people appreciate this adorable peppy monkey

Ken was my first random move-in. Boone was one of the first to show up on a mystery island. I liked them both well enough but I wasn't exactly enthusiastic about them. They were mostly just serving as fillers until someone better came along. I figured I'd only keep them around for a few months tops. I placed both of their houses near each other in front of what would later become my most frequented beach for my late night fishing excursions. They're always talking, eating donuts together, fishing near each other, it's like they have this adorable little bromance going on. They're always happy to see me and out of all my villager they both ping me the most. I've upgraded them both to permanent residents.

Admiral. He was my random move- in, his face looks so grumpy I didn't think I would like him. Turns out he's a cool grandpa and is happy every time I talk to him. Although his house looks shabby I'm growing quite fond of it, it fits his Japanese fisherman aesthetic so well. He's living next to the beach too.
I didn't really like any of the ducks enough to keep, Molly and Ketchup are cute but not really my favs. But God when I went on an island tour where you have to climb up 3 tiers and at the top I saw Joey waiting for me...Joey absolutely has my heart. His face is so stupid but...Joey...

He's so cute and funny! The childish lazy personality really fits him imo - I didn't like it with Sherb cause it didn't really seem fitting imo!!!

sheldon (from someone’s void) took an empty plot that i was gonna move bob into. i’m kinda glad that happened tho bc my sister took bob instead and i got to have who i now think is one of the cutest squirrels in animal crossing. his facial expressions are so funny
