Villager you unexpectedly ended up loving?

i feel like almost every time i pick up an AC game, i end up falling in love with a new villager. sometimes i felt lukewarm about them, or actively didn't like them, but totally ended up changing my opinion on them as i continued playing.

henry was that character for me in new leaf. bam i decided i wanted because i felt like he'd suit my island's theme in new horizons, but it's been two days and i'm absolutely in love with him and think he's the cutest. and i normally never have strong feelings about jocks!

Velma! She was only in my town for a little while - I let her move so I could bring Ribbot in via Amiibo but she was so charming!

I also think they improved her model in New Horizons - she looks so much better than before

Mathilda she moved into my town and took a plot I had for Ankha but I honestly kind of miss her, I booted her for Diana but I can't lie that I do miss her often!

Honestly Mallary. I moved her into my New Leaf town and she moved in right by me. It always felt like she really liked me and wanted to be around me. She was really nice. I don’t have her in New Horizons though.

Klaus. I got him as my first required campsite villager, but he has grown on me a lot. I'm not sure if I will keep him, but he has for sure grown on me, haha c:

For sure Fuchsia! One of my starters and I absolutely love her now! I never really liked any of the Uchi villagers until I had her. She's completely changed my mind!

Groucho. First I was just glad he kicked Quillson out, but after that I began to adored his style, his house, his type of music and his singing and dancing. He is a really cute Bear and the best thing is, that he reminds me of a bigger and older Version of Poncho, which was a Cub I loved back in Population Growing.

Whitney!

last month I decided to sell all my spare amiibo cards that were worth anything. I just sold the ones where I didn’t like the villager or think I would scan them. I sold Whitney for a good price and was baffled she was worth so much as her design didn’t seem all that special to me.

but a few weeks later, on the 74th island in a hunt for Judy, I just gave up and settled for Whitney as it was nearly midnight. But I’ll be darned if she isn’t super growing on me. Her house is so elegant and she strikes me as much kinder and less snarky than other snooty villagers I’ve had.

Sheldon. Initially, he made me not want to go through with my squirrel town idea but I've warmed up to him. He's cuter than I thought he would be in-game. I'm also a fan of the Orange/Green colors.

Coach, he is my jock villager. I didn't like him at first, but he quickly started to grow on me. Plus, he was the first one to give me a nickname.

I never disliked Snake or anything, but he was one of my starting villagers this go around in New Horizons and he's just so cute and friendly. I love his face especially, his big ol' wall eyes and wide smile are so charming. Definitely a surprise stand out jock.

Marcie is also a pleasant surprise. I asked her to move in on a whim and now she's one of my favorite residents. She's so thoughtful and sweet, definitely the mom friend.

Audie for sure, I originally only picked her up to make a profit later, but she quickly grew on me and now i can't see myself letting her go.

Tammy! she used to be an ok for me but now i love her probably because her dialogues and her overall look

frita! i actually loathed her at first, i absolutely could not stand her design or anything about her. i also am not the biggest fan of uchi villagers, but she really grew on me! i am going to have her move out since she was my starting villager and her house is eh... but i am absolutely fond of her now. <3

I always loved Snake bc of the ninja thing, but in this game his face is just so expressive it really knocked him up a notch for me! I love those huge unassuming eyes haha, they seem adorably mismatched with his personality.

Ugh, Fauna. She stole my heart. I found her on an island and originally only got her bc I knew she was popular and maybe I could trade her for a dreamie, but god has she grown on me. And now today, with her hosting my birthday party, I just, I love her so much and idk if I can part with her

I have grown to like Gaston in my town. At first it really bothered me that he moved in, but now I love him in my town. I was trying to cycle out villagers and he kept wanting to move but I couldn’t part with him leaving

Egbert! I didn't mean for him to be a 100% certain move in when I spoke to him on a mystery island tour. I didn't want another chicken as I already had Plucky... but... he is one of my favourite villagers now - SO cute - such a cute variant of the lazy type! I LOVE HIM!
