Villager void question!

Hello! I just TT'd on the wrong DS because I wasn't paying attention and accidentally voided Tia. How does one claim villagers from the void with another character? Do I just have a free space in my town and visit my cycling town? Will Tia show up that way or does my second character have to come to my main town?

(From what I understand) It sounds like you have two copies you should just have to visit the town you voided Tia in with your other mayor. If other villagers have also been voided you have a chance of picking them up instead. I hope this helps! c=

I found that picking up voided villagers worked either via streetpass (if both 3DS units and copies have streetpass turned on for ACNL), or via internet connection - experimentation with LOCAL wireless was NOT successful, and the voided villager was later unintentionally picked up by a friend during online play.

I've actually turned streetpass off on one of my games so that I don't have to cycle through voided villagers more than once.
