Villager voices

I just had Pinky move in today and her voice sounds different and more masculine than Sprinkle, who of course is the same personality. I’m wondering if this is a glitch or if maybe voices are different based on species? I cant remember if her voice was the same in the campsite or not. I had her replace Lucha so I’m thinking maybe this could be a glitch where she took his voice because she seems to sound a lot like my other smug Hippeaux. This i weird.

There was a datamine recently which showed all personalities have a range of pitch from "Low" to "Normal" then "High". Sprinkle is listed as having a "High" pitch, whereas Pinky has a "Normal" pitch.

That’s good to know, thanks for sharing. It’s a relief to know it’s normal and not some kind of bug. Now that I’ve spoken to her a few more times it’s sounding more natural.

Normal! As in previous games, villagers have different tones to their voices.

I have Bud on my island and his voice is super high pitched (higher than Mira's) and it doesn't match the way he looks at all. It's very strange but don't be surprised lol

Yeah I was so confused when I went to a friend's island and two of her cranky villagers had different toned voices! One was deeper than the other.

That's a pretty cool detail! And it's cool to see I wasn't hearing things based on the spreadsheet.
