Villager Question

I accidently lost Roscoe from TT and I would like to get him back, but I saw a random thread saying you need to wait for a certain number of villagers to move in/out first. It was something about the system memory. Is this true? I don't want to find someone to trade with and find out it won't work.

It is true. You must have 16 other villagers move out after he does before he can live in your town again.
I normally save all the letters villagers send when they move, so that is one to track.
Another is to write them down.
Some say after they start showing up in the shopping area and they finally "go away" from there, you can adopt them again. But I would track it to be on the safe side.

Yes, 16 villagers. Once you've had 16 move in and out after your villager, it'll be cleared from memory and can move back in like you never met. If you want Roscoe back, you're going to have to engineer 16 different move-outs first

Aw man. Hmm, I think I had 3-4 move. I never see him in the shopping area. I thought that was strange. Thanks for the help.
