Villager moving out while invisibly crafting?

Basically I walked in on Olaf crafting invisible air while he’s in boxes. I spoke with him to check and no items, just the usual going away phrase.

I DEFINITELY will not give him to anyone or anything, but just do be sure, is the villager taking his place safe? They’re from the campsite.

All the severe villager glitches should have been patched out, so you're safe to both have someone adopt Olaf and for your camper to move in. The crafting in boxes bug seems to be harmless.

The only minor glitch that can occur now is the exterior glitch if you skip the "plot sold" day tomorrow. Otherwise, you're fine.

yeah this is a pretty normal glitch. the new campsite villager will be fine!

This glitch is as old as time itself actually. I believe the Mayan's had a calendar for it.
For real, I don't know why this one still isn't fixed.

You're safe to trade them anyways, it doesn't affect anything - it's just a visual glitch.
