Once again, I'm plot resetting for my villagers, and I'm in doubt. Again.

So, I have a few questions;
1) How close can a villager's house be to a bridge? Referring to the diagram below,

XXXXXXOOXXXXXX

where X is the grass/ground, and O is the bridge, how close can a villager's house be horizontally, vertically, and diagonally from the bridge?

2
a) Can a villager possibly move here?

b) And here? Any possibilities?

I just need confirmation, so that I won't be dying inside when a villager plots in other unfavourable places. Which is why I need to take up as much space as possible without allowing a house to spawn there .~.

I'm not sure about the bridge and villager house placement. I know it's at least one space needed all around the bridge.

It might be two. I'm not sure.

For 2A, do you have a space between the river and the back of the house? If you do, I think it would work fine.

For 2B, I'm not sure what you're asking.

As an aside, are you planning on planting trees right next to your fountain? Trees and bushes have to have a space between a PWP and them.

For 2a, yes there's one space between the river and the back of the house. So a plot can spawn there?
And for 2b, the holes dug in a line is the vertical space, so can a villager's house squeeze in there? Kinda like this

O - the 3x3 exterior of a villager's house
U - space for the front door
C - top row of the fountain

Okay. I see what you mean. 2B won't work. You actually need 6 spaces from top to bottom for a house, because you have to allow for the space outside the door. There is a thread titled "how close" that shows this very well. At the time I'm replying, it's on the first page of this forum. The house is 3x3, plus a space in front of the door, then an extra space all around.

Also, the fountain needs a space as well all around, so that's a problem.

I'm not sure about you first and last questions, but for 2a, no, a villager can't plot there because a villager plot takes up a 5x6 space total (including buffer zones) because of the extra buffer zone in front of the extra spot of the door. So the plot's buffer zone would collide with the player's house's buffer zone.

You're right. It would overlap the back left corner of the player's buffer zone.

sorry to go off-topic a tad, but are those patterns that say Path, tree, etc yours or did you find them somewhere?
