Villager House Reset?

So Ive heard there is a way to do this...
I just asked Hugh from the campsite to move into my town, but I'm scared his gonna put his house in a bad spot, if so what is a way that I can possibly move it if it does?

You can do the house plot reset trick on the day when Hugh is going to move in. You do this by creating a new character on the day you think that they're going to move in, and then you find out where the house is going to be. Then, if you like where it is, you set up your tent with that new character, then save your game and delete the character you made.
If you don't like where the house is placed, exit the game without quitting, and create another new character until the house is in a good place for you.
You can't do this, however, if you already have four characters in your town.

Thanks! But I have no idea when his going to move in... If i log in with my normal character and see the house, can i just turn my ds off and not save? then make a new character to reset it?..

He should move in the day after you ask him to. also, no, you cant do that bc the game saves the town changes when you log in as an existing character, and theyll stay that way even if you reset on the existing character.

You MUST create a new character, otherwise you won't be able to alter the position of the house at all.
