Hello, I am new here, but I have been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf since it came out. I never really interacted on-line before, just with my real life friends who also play. But lately I have been really into decorating my town because I bought a book that had some QR codes in it, and saw a picture of someone's town before who had all of their villager's houses lined up perfectly right next to each other when I looked on tumblr blogs.

I was wondering if that can be achieved through resetting town plots? I don't know if houses have pre-set spots in your town (Ex: there are certain spots that a house will never set down there) Figured I would ask before trying to reset for hours and then realizing I can't layout my villager houses next to each other.

Thanks~

Villager houses will be placed randomly where ever they fit. Lining them up will take a lot of work but it's possible.

Houses are bound by certain rules, such as they can't stand right next to another building touching it's wall, or next to a public works project. By utilizing these rules, an placing projects in places you don't want any villager houses, you can "guide" the new houses to open spots next to existing houses. As I said, it'll take a lot of work though.

I know it will be a lot of work and I don't mind, I just didn't want to put in effort while being uncertain of whether it's possible. Thanks for answering!

It's possible but will takes A LOT of time, you can take a look at my town map in my signature.

There was someone who posted up their town map in which four houses were all lined up in a perfect row, but I think achieving something like this would be both difficult and probably not worth the time/effort.
