Does anyone know if villagers ever change their wallpaper/flooring?

In my previous town, I had adopted Kidd the goat and his home looked terrible with a common wall and a mish-mash of furniture. I thought that it was because he had been in his former town for a long time.

Now in my re-started town, I adopted Kidd again and I realized that his house actually looks like that! :o He is one of my favorite villagers but I think he might possibly have the worst looking home :(

And K.K. Comrade blasting from his stereo away doesn't help one bit.

I'd like to know if they ever change the wallpaper, too. lol Some of it is awful! Like the Kiddie in Bob's house, when all his other stuff is NO longer kiddie!

As far as I know, they never change the walls and carpets. I was surprised because in City Folk they did (although that could be annoying too).

You can change their music though!

I suppose that's a small consolation; or I could just revoke their music-playing rights by buying their stereo and replacing it with a plant or something quiet.

You can't change their music that I've ever heard of. You can try to take their stereo though.
