Does anybody have someone moving out today? I don't have any villagers that I can offer at the moment. Nobody's moving. But I can offer 100,000 bells. I want to get my 10th villager now and I don't like waiting for the campsite. I almost never get a camper.

When you know someone is going to move in on that day, DO NOT enter game with one of your characters. If you do, you are stuck with the villager you get.
Instead, make a new character. run around, find the villager. If you don't like the villager/ space they chose, reset. If you do like it, set your house down, save, then you can delete that character, and you'll still have the same villager moving in, in the same spot.
I've done this to chose where certain villagers are going to move in, so they don't squash my orchards.
