Julian is on my list because I like the smug personality and don't really like any of the smug villagers, save for a precious few (including Shep, who I lost and can't reasonably get back). I'm picky about villagers in general, and to be honest it sucks to like highly sought after villagers, which is why--despite wanting him since I discovered him--I haven't actively worked on getting Julian. Fighting over him annoys me. I'd sooner just strike a deal with someone for a villager they actually want than sit in a bid war or something.

I did read about this and have taken it under consideration, but if anything all that would do is put me in a position where I wanted both of them. T^T My ideal town has 2 smugs, 2 jocks, 2 lazies, 2 normals, and 2 crankies! :3
It actually looks like I'm getting Drago for him, sorry. ^^ But I don't really have any need for bells anyway. I just want a happy neighborhood in my town c:

It's supposedly after you get like 16 villagers to move out. The 4-5 thing you're referring to is that after 5 villagers move out, your old villagers start appearing on main street. Basically, these are the ones still stored and after they are no longer stored they don't appear on main street and you can then have them move back in. The number that is stored is said to be 16.

This is why I wasn't terribly moved by the idea. I'm happy with all but 3 of my villagers and it's not easy or fun to get those 3 to want to leave, and rotating through 10 more.. ugh. Not in my main town. I just can't stand the idea of it. <___> I'd rather just take Olaf and Julian if the stars will align for me and let me have them.
