You don't need two threads for the same subject. Just bump the original every now and then, if you really want it to get attention.

I understand that you want to help charity, but breaking the rules isn't a good way to go about it.

Sorry! It was just confusing. I love Markiplier and think it's great he's doing a charity event. I just didn't understand why you had to make two threads for the same subject in two different sections.
