Valve: xbox > ps3

Recently, Randy Pitchford had said that Valve are childish fanboys for bashing the ps3. Today, in responce to this, Valve's Chet Faliszek kind of bashing the PS3. The game writer has stated that Xbox Live's community is "head and shoulders" above the PlayStation Network, citing it as a reason why Left 4 Dead 2 isn't going anywhere near a PS3.

"Right now for Left 4 Dead 2 we're looking at PC and 360 because the community aspects really fit the game -- it's all about playing with your friends," explains Chet. "But that's the short term. What we're looking at for the long term ... if it works out, it works out. Right now don't not buy it on the 360 because you think it's coming out on the PS3 -- it's not going to. Right? It's coming out on the PC and 360. It's going to be exclusive for that."

"In hooking up with your friends and the community aspects, I think the Xbox 360 is head and shoulders above the PS3. The 360 and PC are on par, right?"

I would expect the Xbox community to be more immature, as more children are playing it than adults. I see more adults on PS3 then I do on 360. That doesnt mean there arent children on the PS3, it's just that I see less of them :/

Granted the younger players aren't going to be interested in Blu-Ray and all that jazz. Still doesn't mean that makes the whole community immature.
Of course there are going to be kids on either console. (disregarding the wii here of course) Hell, there are even some on PC, but that's my point.
Where ever you go, there will always be imature people. We all know some of those too.

I know, I'm just putting that out there. But for the most part it can do.

Maybe they could but I think Valve mainly just wish to focus on the bigger and possibly better communities. Valves following on the pc is incredibly huge with the 360 somewhat distanced from it but the PS3 even further still.

If they made games for the PC, 360, and PS3, they would have a bigger community than they could get with just the two, going multiplatform would not only increase their fanbase, but increase their sales as well.

But that's along the right lines.

It's a shame that Nintendo doesn't have such developers on side as the other companies do.
They have some great ones yeah, but not that many.

The PS3 and 360 don't have much of a difference in term of quality, now if I was talking about the Wii, that'd be a different story.
