Don't they know they could make more money if they went multiplatform?

Maybe they could but I think Valve mainly just wish to focus on the bigger and possibly better communities. Valves following on the pc is incredibly huge with the 360 somewhat distanced from it but the PS3 even further still.

If they made games for the PC, 360, and PS3, they would have a bigger community than they could get with just the two, going multiplatform would not only increase their fanbase, but increase their sales as well.

I think you're just a little jealous since you're getting a PS3.

I dunno, Valve seems to just hate the PS3. Mainly because they don't have enough staff to properly work on a PS3 game. They had EA do the Orange Box when it came to the PS3, didn't they? Ended up as the "Ugly Twice Removed Stepbrother". While yeah, they'd probably would make some more money and expand their fanbase, it probably wouldn't be worth their while if they had to hand Left 4 Dead or any other Valve game to another company just to make a PS3 version. AND LORD FORBID THEY EVER PORT A GAME TO THE WII. EVER.
