Using ABD at other islands

I haven't personally needed to try this so I am unsure on the facts, but is it true you are unable to access the ABD when on another players island?

If so, have people found ways of getting around the bell carrying pocket limit with large transactions??

As of now, it is not possible to access your bank when visiting other islands. You have to bring the money you need before you arrive. :/

So you're limited to around 4 million bells at a time, correct?
That seems very annoying

Yep! It's very annoying, and also why I think people have shifted towards NMTs, which are valued at around 200k-250k, stackable 10 at a time. Makes exchanges easier when you can bring 80 Million bells worth of NMTs instead of just 4.
