underrated/overrated villagers?

i just stumbled upon the forum's popularity teirs and was really surprised by the placement of some villagers!! of course i can understand all the aesthetically pleasing ones in the top teir, but i was super surprised to see apollo so high up (no offense to him, but i always thought his design was kinda bland...) and marcel so low down !! i mean cmon. is that not the most boopable nose u have ever seen in ur life ???

which top-tier villagers do you not understand the hype for?~ and do you have any dreamies in the lower tiers?~ (mallary....my poor mallary.......)

oh, my apologies, rookie here! ^^ i'll keep that in mind for the future.

and yeah, i adore tammi! i love villagers that have creepy features! you don't get that much with peppy villagers.. i like the combo of creepy and peppy a lot..

i get what you mean about bam. the placement of his pupils always kind of annoyed me.. its fine when he's facing to the side, but when he's foreward facing (especially on his amiibo card) he just looks kinda funny to me x)

I don’t understand why Bruce isn’t more popular. IIRC he doesn’t make it into Tier 2. He has all the characteristics to be a fandom dreamie but I guess not?? Then again, it might just be me not seeing a high demand for him. I also think as far as smugs go Phil is one of the best but pretty underrated. Same with Queenie and Mint for snooties.

he's actually tier 3 on TBT's list! i wonder if it's because of his colouring? although personally i find his design very cute, if he was a pastel colour i'm sure he'd be much higher up x)

No one does the tier thing anymore, really. It's basically just demand and how much one is willing to pay, or how much they charge. Ever since Amiibo cards, the availability has increased so much.

My boy Roald is really underrated imo. Also, I think Elise could use some more love, too, as well as some frogs such as Frobert and Wart Jr.

Underrated: Ricky, Hazel, Katt, Tabby, etc who isn't the villagers I mentioned above.

Villagers like Marshal, Chief, Stitches, Beau, Marina, etc. are pretty overrated and I've never really understood the hype. Especially the octopus villagers; they've always been ugly imo.

As for underrated villagers, Hazel is amazing. She's currently the uchi in my town and she's wonderful I've also never understood how there isn't more love for Gayle. She's so cute.

People have always seemed to love the octopi villagers, and I've never really understood why. I mean, Marina is okay, I guess, but I logged into my game today and saw that Octavian was moving in and honestly, I couldn't really care less. If nothing else, I'll be able to sell him or adopt him out when he asks to move, but otherwise I'm not thrilled. I would have preferred Wolfgang to move in.
