I honestly like Shep and would take some of the others over Marshall or Raymond. Maybe they need more smugs that fit a certain theme, rather than more smugs in general.
Uchis and smugs need more villagers.

Meh, I think there are enough although I wouldn't mind getting 1-3 more. I've got pietro and raymond. I liked neither at the start of playing NH but they're here now and I don't think they're ever leaving. I really want O'hare though, too bad I don't have space for him

Ya'll sleeping on Kidd he is so cute! Other than Raymond and Marshal I like Kidd, Zell and Kyle. For Uchi villagers Pashimina is my favorite! When coming up with my NL villager list I couldn't think of any Uchi's I would want. Other than Pashmina. Fuschia looked cool but no one else really spoke out to me.

I think there are a lot of great smugs! It was hard enough for me to narrow it down to two and I'm not even counting Raymond and Marshal
Sisterlies, although I think that there are a few standouts among them, such as Cherry and Muffy, definetely need more options since people often seem to complain that they don't like a single one out of those available.

I agree that the lineup for both personality types are lacking and it doesn't help that the villagers we do have within them both are quite questionable at best.

I think in general Nintendo needs to introduce more villagers that are normal/cute/natural looking and like you would actually want them on your island. Obviously people have better taste but there's probably around 100 villagers that look so offputting and unsympathetic that they are just straight up useless. Having a few of these might be fun, but if you really want to have more diversity on your island and not the same 10 villagers because they are the only good looking ones, we need more "acceptable" designs. You could easily make 90% of them look so nice and sympathetic by changing one feature, like the eyes, the color or whatever.

I have Colton on my island as a smug villager and I adore him! It's also been really easy to update his wardrobe as his design looks nice in a lot of clothes! :')
I do also love Marshal, had him in previous games but I was looking to have new villagers on NH.
Cherry's my all time fav uchi character and there is no changing my mind.

Most towns out there on the internet don’t have an Uchi villager because none of them are top tier. I have to admit, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Uchi villagers until I saw Reneigh in NH. I’ve always liked Fuchsia (probably because she’s a deer 
) but Reneigh really spoke to me. I have her in my town and I LOVE her! In terms of Smug villagers, I want SO MANY of them!!! I currently have Mr. Overrated Business Cat and I plan on getting one more Smug boi for the island. I personally want Marshal, Lopez, or Julian... (I kind of hope I find Lopez because my island is starting to turn into “popularville” after finding Ms. Overrated Glitter Cub... 
)
Also, as a side note, if Tasha were an Uchi villager, I would get her. However, since she is a Snooty villager, she is put up against QUEEN DIANA (my ultimate dreamie right now), and there is no contest...

I currently have Leopold in my town as a smug and I am quite happy with him around, he's really grown on me. The sisterlies are definitely lacking though, I currently have none, but I might try to get Ursala at some point because she looks kinda like bill wibbly from that animal crossing meme and every time I see her I am remembered of that, and it makes me happy every time...

There are 23 cats in New Horizons, more than any other species in the game... and yet there is only one uchi and one smug. (Katt and Raymond)
Wow. I’d expect some more uchi and smug cats, as cats are my favorite animals. Some of the snooty cats look like uchis, and some jocks look like smugs. I don’t mind Marshal or Raymond, and I like Muffy, Phoebe, Pashmina, and Cherry. Hopefully, just like how they did the same treatment with NL, to add more villagers, especially with smug and uchi personalities.

compared to other personalities, uchis and smugs definitely need more villagers. the rest have waaaay more in general, mainly because those personality types were there from the beginning. i had hoped that they'd snatch some villagers from other personality types and place them in smug and uchi for acnh but i can understand why they didnt (attachments & such). but im still peeved that we didn't get all that many new villagers to bulk up their ranks either.
imo, smugs are definitely more diverse in their appearances in comparison to uchis. all the uchi villgers mostly seem the same to me, which isnt necessarily a bad thing bc they do have a brand and all. but when u look at all the other female personality types sure there are some that definitely look like they fit the personality they are (biggest example being some snooty villagers), but they still somehow fit. even then, there are more "basic" looking villagers in those personalities that can be used anywhere. looking at the uchi line-up, none of them rly stick out to me even tho i looove the personality (their conversations r always very interesting).
ig this is mostly a problem with ppl who would like to make themed islands, but man it's still a problem!! i think the villagers we do have r all nice tho, and definitely have ppl who give them loving homes. but when the possibility for more is there, u cant ever rly ignore it.

sorry but "Mr. Overrated Business Cat" and "Ms. Overrated Glitter Cub" killed me Anyways Queen Diana is UNMATCHED by any snooty

I liked Deidre well enough but her stay on my island was short lived. I'm not sure I really like any other Uchi's to replace her with! I feel the same about smug. I traded Eugene for Raymond (found on mystery island) and Eugene was okay, just not very exciting. I'd love to see them introduce new sisterly/smug characters as the game progresses!
