TTing backwards, do you still get events?

Say, if you start the game fresh today, and either jump back to the start of April or just start the game with your system clock set to April, would you still get to see things like the bunny day event and the may day ticket?

I just got curious as I'm pretty sure I'm gonna reset my island. I've tried not too, but, I'm too frustrated by the placements of things.
