So I'm currently working on getting my dream town and I want it to be set during the Cherry Blossom Festival. However, I want to be able to time travel forward to the regular date without the risk of losing villagers. If someone pings me to move, after I've TT'd back, and I say no and then TT to the current date, will this prevent any random move outs? I have heard of this method before but I'm just afraid to try it and then lose a villager D: I'm wondering if this actually works and has been tested by anyone. Thanks in advance :)

Don't; you could lose a villager. Move to the regular date, then create a new character, run around, see if anyone's moved out, if yes, switch off the DS and go back to the original date and get their ping, and repeat. It's also best to TT forward a month, and do this too.

This is much better than just TTing forward to the current date
