TT advice and Redd

Thinking about breaking my no TT rule because Redd rarely shows up. I have a few paintings in my house from trades and stuff that I want in my house but my museum is still empty. I have one painting in there and that is it. And some of the very few times Redd has shown up on my island, all the stuff was fake lol.
Is there anything I need to know about TT (besides the turnips) and if there is any kind of a pattern for Redd appearing?

Kinda starting to regret not keeping a diary of who and when they visit.

Red can show up every week. If he didnt show up one week the chance increases for the next week and so on until he does. I hope this helps. You can find good videos about this on youtube. I hope this helped you

This is exactly why I started buying art from people on here. Redd showing up every couple weeks isn’t that bad, but the fact that he can have all fake art when he finally does show up is so brutal. I don’t think there’s a pattern, I think you just have to TT regularly until you see him.

You just gotta check every weekday, he won't appear in weekends. Like the person above said the odds of him appearing increase every week, and that bonus higher chance resets once he's on your island.

Never time travel backwards because it can reset the pity system.

Redd's visits are (sadly) completely random. I've seen several people try to puzzle out a pattern, but there's been no success

You don't have to TT to get Redd every week or two weeks. If you do decide to TT for Redd, find him on your island, buy whatever you want from him, TT a day forward to get the art and donate it. Then TT back one day and Redd will still be there but with new artwork.

That's what I did until I finished my art portion of the museum.

Really? I didn't know he could show that often. So far he has shown up like once a month for me like Celeste lol flick and cj tends to show once ever 2 weeks. On the other hand, I get Kicks and Sahara like twice every week (sometimes 3 times!) and leif once to twice a week lol.
I just wish things were a little less random I suppose.

I time travel, and it seems to me Redd ALWAYS shows up on the same days. So, if for instance, you had him on the 13th... if you go back to the 13th, he should be there, but with new stuff. Or, if you TT forward and see he's there July 3rd, then TT back, then go back... he should be there. Again, with a new inventory.

That's just my experience, though! Can't say it's 100% guaranteed. And while I guess it's hypothetically possible for him to show up every week, from my experience it seems to be about twice a month or so.

As long as you stay in the same week don't TT past Sunday (this resets which NPCs show up) you can keep TT-ing back and forth to the same day to get Redd and his stuff will be reset.
