I've been recently been taking my 3DS to school to play with my friends. Its pretty risky because they don't allow games to checked in at the office (only phones) and keeping it in your bag has 2 risks; being stolen and bag searches by administration which happens every month OR when something goes missing OR when someone is suspected of holding drugs...

So, I would like some help on how to present an idea of a 3DS Club/Streetpass Club/Nintendo Club to the headmaster of my school. If anyone can give me any tips that can persuade, make it look not bad (because videogames have a negative vibe when seen by adults) and anything that can help my case.

Here's the list of the games that we will play: Pokemon X/Y, Mario Kart 7, Steel Diver Sub Wars and The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.

I'd say try to present it as a way for a group of people to get together in a friendly, safe environment.

Though.. its kinda funny that your school looks down so much of games, considering my old high school didn't care when we'd bring a PS1 or eventually PS2 to play over lunch hour in whatever room the school was letting us borrow(so long as we continued making sure the classroom we borrowed was left in the same way we found it[though we usually left it better than it was when we first arrived lol])

I've been thinking of doing the same thing. I'd say let them know to let them keep their 3DSes in the office or whereever when the club isn't going on (whenever you plan on having it.) They really have no excuse to not start it unless there isn't a teacher willing to sponsor it, so find a teacher first, and then talk to the office about it.

I have bag searches as well. It's not a big deal, we just hide our cellphones behind the board or something.

My school has something similar, however it encompasses all types of gaming called "gamers guild". If your school is strict about this stuff, maybe try to make the club seem less of a gaming guild and more a discussion of gaming club? Or maybe get a teacher sponsor lined up to give creditability to your club idea?

Have a teacher who'd be willing to run your club, or a good student who viewed highly upon the staff (so they know it's being overseen by a mature person), firstly. Secondly, you'd need a good reason to have a club for gaming. Saying that it's just for playing games with each other won't do, so you need a reason to make the headmaster want to have a gaming club. That's going to be the difficult part. Lastly, you should gather a group of people who would also enjoy a gaming club. They can go with you to the headmaster and back you up on your idea.

Just hold a gun to his head and he'll see things your way[Don't really do this!]

First of all, even though I haven't asked him yet, I know of a teacher that will most definitely be willing to sponsor it. He is the teacher who mostly goes against administration and whats-not and is into art and technology. I'm going to ask him tomorrow, I know him quite well and got an A+ in his class so I know that he would more than likely support me.

Secondly, I have some good reasons not relating to gaming why we should do it. I would say, since the school loves to have bragging rights, that such club would be the first for the school adding more to the list of clubs to join and even to a greater extent, the first official 3DS/Streetpass Club for Belize.

Finally, I will try to make this quite formal. I am printing out a presentation. Also, a member of the student council sits next to me so I'll try to make him come along with me to help.

This sounds like a very good plan. Make sure anyone who comes along can back you up, and anyone in the student council should also be supportive of the idea.

I would also point out that it encourages good sportsmanship.

I am currently making a presentation about it. I'll upload it when I'm done and I'll ask on how I can improve it.

Basically, I'm trying to push a StreetPass/3DS club so that Nintendo can be dominant at my school. Plus it best to do it first before someone comes with their 'Overglorified by people who know nothing about video games, not selling very well, no good games system Vita Club'.

To be fair, the Vita is doing better than the PSP ever did(I still regret getting a PSP)

At my school the Vita is over glorified, despite the fact that only about 4 people own one.

I have actually 'converted' about 3 or 4 people to get a 3DS instead of a Vita.

the presentation's content is good. however, you might want to work on capitalization a tad bit.
