Trying to decide on restarting...

Hey everyone, so I created my town on release and I hadn't kept up with spoilers or anything about the game. I didn't restart my map, I put my house right by a cliff (ugh!). But I worked hard on my town and got 10/10 dreamies and a ton of stuff and basically I've put two years of work into my town.

Now that I'm trying to finish it, it's more and more annoying how my town is laid out. I really wish I would have done better. I am vaguely considering getting a second copy and transferring everything over, and then moving out and adopting out my dreamies to the new town. However, I really don't want to have to do everything again - unlock main street stuff, catch all fish/bugs, unlock PWPs, badges, etc.

Has anyone done this? Do you regret it? Any advice?

I started my Sunshine town, and had all my dreamies. I hated the town map sooooo bad. I ended buying a new copy and transferred every item and all the villagers to the new Sunshine town. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. I deleted the first Sunshine town and made a new town that's completely different. I'm still working on it and it's been lots of fun.

I think you should buy a second copy of the game if you can. I've restarted my first town and to be honest I don't regret it at all.

I was in the same place you are a few weeks ago and decided to restart. I already had 2 towns so that was easier for me. But I had made so much progress in the town and it was hard to let that go, but now that I have a fresh start I don't miss it at all. In fact I am happy to turn the game on each day and make progress.

I'm in the process of this right now. I have my beautiful main town that I worked endlessly on and while I luv my map, there are some things I wish I had thought longer about when I didn't think as much about permenant placement. I also had all my babies lined up beautifully and then one went into boxes without warning. (I play everyday). I decided to kick out 3 others to my other town (I have 3) and cycle to bring them back and as soon as I got the third back in and got a move date on the last one from the other town, another of my babies went into boxes. I now have that town frozen in time while I decide what to do.

I LUV my main but I would luv to work with another map. My main was compete. Catalog 100%, museum 100%, badges around 85%. But I'm just so frustrated with it atm. What I may do is develop this new town (same name, same mayor name) and place all my babies and once they're all there, cycle my main one more time. Or just keep my main as a catalog place or something. If you'd like to see my once finished main, please feel free to visit the da in my sig.

I'm thinking about restarting my town too, but idk If I should restart my main or second. I have all dreamies in both town, and I put a lot of effort in my main and the map is horrible :/ as for the second town, the map is good but I wanna change the mayors eyes and name. The actual town is just a storage town atm tho it doesn't have anything, so idk.

But I think u should buy a second copy of the town if u can. If not then get someone to hold all ur items and bells for u while u reset. There's no point in playing if u hate ur town
