Trust issue and a broken heart :<

I'm so sad right now. I love to make new friends and play online with people, but some of them always end up disappointing me. Whenever I let new friends come to my town, I always tell them to feel free to look around because I don't want to be a jerk who keeps following them, telling them to be careful, or asking them not to take things and stuff. I even try to help them out as much as I can. I give them money if they need some and I give them any type of furniture that they want. I constantly ask if they need help and they always say no. But then in the end, when they leave, I often find some flowers or mushrooms go missing. I'm not sure if they take the flowers or run over them by accident. But no matter what, they should have told me. I'm the kind of guy who is willing to help someone as much as I can if they just ask. And I really dislike it when people just take stuff from my town without telling me. The sad thing is that the people who come to my town are mostly adults. I can't believe they behave like that. It really breaks my heart and makes me sad. Well, now I don't know if I can trust some people anymore :< I wonder if anyone experiences this type of trouble like me :<

check their wifi ratings and also give them a bad rating to warn others. or u can flick your wifi switch off if you noticed any missing flowers. i hate these kind of peole

I think you are being too kind to players, people take advantage of it, but not everyone does.
Its more difficult if you have several players in your town at once.
I would get more rules in place for new visitors.

One tricky thing is that they have some positive wifi ratings and appear to be quite nice :/
I often flip my wifi switch whenever I see my stuff missing, but sometimes I don't pay much attention until they leave. I guess I will need to start being a jerk and tell them to be careful of stuff from now on :/

Ahh, I'm really sorry to hear that. I think you should try messaging them about it. Maybe it was an accident and they can explain, and if not, you should leave a bad Wi-Fi rating to warn others.

My brother had a close call in his town with someone trying to steal hybrids (and this is why you don't let random people from tumblr into your town, everyone!), but thankfully I saw them from my screen and he was able to flip the Wi-Fi switch before they could leave. Ever since that happened, I've always put my hybrids and mushrooms in my locker before inviting people I don't know offline over. It's really annoying, but I'd rather do it everytime than not do it one time and lose my hybrids.

I'm not sure why people steal these things when there are so many affordable hybrid shops these days, but I guess some people just can't resist the urge or something?

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I tend to get taken advantage of too. Nothing has been stolen, but I give them a ton of stuff, and order things for them. Pretty soon, that seems to be all I'm doing. They just ask for more and more. Theres no hanging out, or playing, It's just me giving, and giving. It seems like it always ends with them sending me a private message asking for a ridiculous amount of bells ( one asked for 20 mill). That's when I've had enough, and end the friendship.

I have some ac friends that I've been friends with for about two years. They do ask for things, but they give too. We help eachother. These are the friends that I fully trust in my town.

I'm so sorry, I've luckily only had good respectful people visit my village. Even when I tell them to use my shops and shake my trees they follow the rules and remain respectful. It breaks my heart that people are so mean!

I'm so sorry this happened to you! I don't think it is being a jerk if you tell them to be careful, it's your town and they have to play by your rules and show you some respect! That's just common sense to me.

I don't let people into my town often except for trades because I don't want them ruining stuff. The one time I did let someone into my town, and it was someone who I talked to frequently, they picked all of my fruit, ran over flowers and picked up furniture that I had left on the ground in front of my house! I caught them doing that and told them to put it back. But I'm definitely not letting them into my town again. It wasn't someone from this site, by the way. So I understand your frustration.

I am getting along in the game just fine and I have too many bells than I know what to do with, so if anyone needed any I would happily give them some. Or like I have extra hybrids on the beach and I would be willing to scrap together some mushrooms to give to people too. They just need to ask me and I would most likely say yes (depends on how well I know them). So when people feel like its better to steal its really not because it pisses most people off and if you are doing it to be funny well your not because people have put countless hours of work into making there town as perfect as possible and for you to ruin it is not okay.

You're doing someone a favour in giving them stuff and letting them into your town - the least they can do is show some respect! Of course and LOL I'm sure you must've felt awkward, but it was fine! I accidentally grab things I don't mean to pick up all the time (and that includes accidentally erasing paths).

I am really sorry this happened to you and it's a shame so many people have to be dishonest.

I am really paranoid about things like this and if invited guests/traders so much as step off the stone in front of my train station without my permission I will flip the switch and I follow people around like a hawk if they are coming over whether their wifi ratings are high or not I just can't risk it. XD

I've only had 2 ACNL friends, both were guys, and they stopped playing. One I know has specifically stopped playing because he was taken advantage of over and over again. He was very attracted to the social aspect of the game and didn't see a point in developing a beautiful town if it wasn't for sharing with others. He was so generous too. I haven't bothered making any new friends since then because it breaks my heart and my game feels empty when I lose my friends. So it's just us now, my mayor and the villagers.....

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hate it when people steal things from me. I'm pretty easy going, and if people ask to have a hybrid or an item, I'll most likely let them have it. When a friend asks me to get something for them (like a dlc, set, etc) then almost all the time I get it for them and buy it on TBT. I can't even understand why people steal...I mean, sure you want something, but you can just easily ask. You aren't going to end your life just by asking for something :/
