hey guys. sorry if this is already a discussion or whatever. I haven't been on in a while.

I was wondering if anyone else likes to transition their town's theme or look whenever the season shifts? Like, my town had a tropical theme and I made a lot of progress on completing that by the end of the summer. I entered school and then dropped ACNH for a bit because of how intense school has been. I'm about to get back into it but I feel like all of my town areas won't look as great since it's no longer summer, and I'm super excited for the Sept 30 update and want to make sure to have more room for autumn/Halloween/etc things, even though most space is currently taken up by Tiki bars and beachside spas and etc. Does anyone else have this issue of wanting to change up their whole town cuz of the turn of the seasons lol?

I'm not planning on changing my whole island/town, mostly because it's not filled with stuff as seasonal as you describe. Mine is mostly empty space, trees, flowers, hedges, and fountains/lamps/benches.

But there's an area filled with beach chairs/towels, kiddie pools... I'm definitely toying with the idea of changing that up, and using less summer-y items on that area now.

I had to change my island around for fall because all my paths had overgrown green grass borders. Plus all my green vine designs on the ground had to be replaced with fall leaf designs. Luckily I've gotten it all done and updated my dream address for the first time in 2 months.

I still have some summer themed stuff on the beaches cause I'm waiting for the update in 5 days.

I have a general "nature" theme for my island, so much of it is going to transition on its own. There are a few areas that I built things which are getting makeovers for the different seasons, and I've changed my house (interior and exterior) to mark the time, as well.

I tend to play my game as if it were a real place I was living, so tearing everything down every 3 months or so wouldn't work for me. I know some people do, and what they come up with is amazing, but I'd lose the few brain cells I still have. :)

I might change little stuff as the seasons come but my island was always meant for fall. I've been waiting on mush and halloween furniture for a long time.

I do have some summery/beachy stuff though, and since we're on an island I feel like it won't ever look out of place.

Right now I have some spots in my town that I've been changing to match the changes on my island.

as much as I'd love to adapt as the seasons change, realistically I'm not playing often enough to have the drive to do it. although when september came I did switch up the location of my house to get a more cosy, living in the mountains kinda vibe. there's a few areas on my island that it would probably make sense to change as winter approaches but we'll see i guess!

im a big fan of the autumn/cozy/cottage aesthetic so i've been rolling with this vibe for a while. i personally commend those who do change up the vibe of their whole island depending on the current season tbh...that's too much work for me. plus i tend to just roll with playing in the autumn/winter months bc they're my fav seasons/matches my island theme if i can help it. i only tt backwards for big updates to get items kinda like when we had the summer update, did what i had to do, then tt'ed forward again 😂

Not normally...but now that gardening veggies is in I'm probably going to terraform again. I also have to rid my island of many hybrids too.

Nope—I keep my island permanently autumn-themed (it’s in November). I’ve had no interest in transitioning seasons since I’ve always had an idea in mind for my island. Props to people who decorate their islands with every season in mind though, that’s gotta take some serious work. 😳

i havent done seasonal/holiday decorations on any of my saves bc of the fact that flowers cant be stored. when i think of decorating id like for my flowers to match the tones, like having red flowers for Christmas, pink and yellow for Easter, etc. if we could store flowers id have all the creative power in the world but we cant so my creativity is nonexistent.

Though my town is meant to be viewed in whatever season, I think it’s perfectly suited for fall. I thought some areas looked great during summer, but right now with the grass changing colors, it’s actually looking quite nicely. I’ve been over doing it a little with the use of orange flowers, so I guess I don’t have to worry about the transition much.

My island is set up such that it suffices year round. That said, I have to shuffle some things around to accommodate the addition of the pumpkin field in the Fall update. That's about it.

I.. half-butt it (lol, idk if I can say the word). Like when it was winter, I shoved snowmen everywhere. But now it's spring and the snowmen are hiding behind trees.

It's just a lotta work for me to fully transition between seasons.

I've been planning on doing it. When it was Bunny Day, I had eggs set up all over my island. Then I took them down and decorated for summer. Seasons will come again and again and I'm sure I can re-do all the decorations I want. I don't really save much of anything unless it is unorderable or clothing. My closet might have a problem.

I am planning to have a seasonal event area where I will have stalls and then decorate it with whatever seasonal stuff is available. For example I had a little fireworks fairground area for July and now I am thinking of changing it up to a fall harvest festival for fall/the new update!

The rest of my town is only like 30% complete so I don't think I will be changing anything up right now, perhaps I will do this in the future after my town is 100% complete and I save my dream address. Also my theme is natural/tropical/resort/jungle/summer/hawaii, so its going to look a little weird in the fall and winter, but whatever haha.

I only really like summer and spring, and wish it could stay that way, nice and green.
I won't change anything. :)
