I currently have a fairy tale theme in my main town, and a zen/Pokemon theme in my second town. I chose the fairy tale because I thought it was really cute and a lot of the colors go really well together. The second town has a zen theme because I wanted to model the Pokemon town close to Kanto/Johto and those regions look like they would be more zen themed than fairy tale or modern themed.

I have the modern theme because I like the way it looks. I also think that the Zen and Fairytale themes are over rated anyway.

My main town has a zen theme, but I'm trying to decide between a fairy tale and a modern theme in my second town. Leaning towards modern atm because then I could go for the whole industrial look with a small village around the cafe with a park (since the cafe doesn't really fit in with the modern theme).

I was very tempted to go with zen train station and town hall because I thought it would be fun to somewhat combine fairytale houses with other japanese buidlings… but in the end I just liked how much the fairy tale buildings blended with my villagers (who are mostly pink, yellow and blue…) so I went with full fairy tale.

Honestly, I really like the default buildings! The other ones don't really match my town as well, and I find their designs a bit too grandiose for my taste.

In my main town I'm going for a really relaxing atmosphere. I want it to be a place that people can come to in dreams when they've had a hard day. I'm going to leave little presents all around the town, things like coffee, bubble wands, pinwheels and ice creams so that they can take cute photos as well. There's going to be some clothes left in the plaza that they can wear instead of the pyjamas - probably a cute dress for girls with matching shoes and accessories, and some kind of blazer and trousers for boys. There are going to be little wooded areas with flowery dirt paths and trees, hybrids and bushes, as well as the main path which is sprinkled with cherry blossoms. I'm going to add in some little rivers as well, plus bridges, and maybe even a little zen garden in the corner of my town.

My second town is going to be themed around baking and cafes and each house is going to be a different style of restaurant/cafe. One's going to be a cutesy bakery, one is going to be a sushi bar, one is going to be an old-fashioned, traditional family-run pub and the other is going to be a quaint tea parlour. Each one will have different things off of the main room as well, upstairs in the family pub there will be a living space for the family that run it, above the tea parlour it will be a lacey, antique bedroom, off of the bakery there will be a deli counter and there will be Japanese zen rooms in the sushi bar.

Serenity is sort of a mix...
I'm going for a small village theme, but not necessarily zen/japanese.
I like the default buildings for the train station and town hall to be honnest.

My town's practically a cultured forest, combined with a garden and a small village. It's caked with nature, so although it's not necessarily Zen-themed, it's got zen stuff in it because that's what fits it best.
