How about a Hogsmeade theme?
I've been thinking about it... Maybe Narnia, since that inmovie was my childhood.
I was also thinking of doing a fairytale theme inspired by my new favorite show, Once Upon A Time.
It will be divided into 5 seperate "themes" - Storybrooke, The Enchanted Forest, Wonderland, and the Wizard of Oz.
In the top portion, there will be a house with mayor Regina living in it, and her house will be directly next to the Town Hall. Her apple tree will be right next to her as well (maybe I can make an orchard next to it instead? With only perfect apples?). Her house will have Granny's Bed & Breakfast, Mr. Gold's pawn shop, a library, Regina's office, the hospital, and the crypt. The villagers can be Skye (Ruby/Red Riding Hood), Blanche (Mary Margaret/Snow), Phil (David/Prince Charming), and I'm not sure for the other ones.
To the left is the enchanted forest, which will have a campsite, surrounded by patterned stumps, trees, and a campfire, and maybe Coco can live nearby, representing the blind witch.
To the right towards the bottom of the town I can have Wonderland. There will be perfect cherry trees along with red and white roses and maybe card themed paths/qr codes.
The villagers can be Bob (obviously the Chesire Cat) and Ruby (The White Rabbit). I can have a character there be the Queen of Hearts, and her house will have a gold throne room, then a card themed room, a royal and gorgeous bedroom, a tea party room, a Mad Hatter room (i.e. wacky room), a backyard croquet room and maybe a dungeon.
To the bottom left will be Neverland, which will either have Peter Pan, Tink, or Hook as the main character. I'm not sure how to decorate it, but I know that the house will have a 'Lost Boys' room, Tink's room, a pirate room, a toy room and a mermaid room, or I can decorate the whole house to represent different places in Neverland.
Then the Oz portion will be right in the middle, with (obviously) a yellow brick road, and with ruby slippers at the end. It can be surrounded in apple trees and "poppies", aka red pansies.
The villagers in that part can be Flurry (as a munchkin), Ribbot as the Tinman, maybe Diana as Glenda, and possibly Derwin as the wizard. I will put a scarecrow PWP and the character can be Zelena, aka the wicked witch. There can be an emerald city room, a wizard room, etc.
I wish I can make a dark, whimsical forest theme, but I dunno where to go with that.
