I don't know about you, but I never know where to put those darned PWP's. I couldn't find another thread for all of us to share decorating/landscaping ideas, so share yours below! What is your town theme? Do you plan out what you will do or just play it by ear?

That's an interesting idea, I don't think I've seen anything like that before! My town is going to use all the modern things for a city, with the exception of a residential area that will have the more cutesy/wooden things and yellow flowers. My next area of business is the police station, but I'm kind of torn on that. I love both stations, and I don't want to make the wrong decision.

I didn't really plan my town. I just placed PWPs wherever I thought they would look nice, but in the end I thought it was beautiful. My town turned out to be modern themed.

Do you happen to have a DA I could visit? I really haven't seen any other modern themed towns, and I'd love to take a look at yours! What PWP's/flowers/plants did you end up putting in?

I didn't have a plan, really. I just knew I wanted cute paths and to line them with bushes/mushrooms/clovers/hybrids. PWP placement isn't meticulously thought out, I just put them where they fit and look relatively nice. Then I surround them with paths or other stuff. I wish I had a town theme but I'm not that creative.

Everything I do in my town is improvised. Not a lot of thought and consideration goes into PWP placement. If it looks good in a certain spot then that's good enough for me. I am fairly fussy when it comes to flower arrangement, though.

That sounds so cool :D And I would say go with your feelings towards the cop because on my first town I went with Copper (because I felt bad no one ever picked him) but then I regretted it so in my second one I picked Booker but it didn't feel right so I kinda regretted not picking Copper :p

I have the same path x)

I don't have a theme. I've wanted to at a few different points, but I just have more fun if I keep things flexible and just based on what I like and think looks good.

With PWPs, I don't do a lot of planning because it's different to look at the map and actually see what they look like when you're wandering around in the game. I know which PWPs I want and the general areas where I'm going to get them, but I don't know the exact spaces and I can change my mind if it doesn't look good when I'm on the location with Isabelle.

I have a loose Chrono Trigger theme going in mine. My town is Guardia, mayor Marle, Citizens call Marle 'Princess', flag is the epoch, etc., etc.. Marle's house is the castle and there's a bunch of trees in front. There are secondary characters Crono and (soon)Lucca. No one's suggested the bell PWP yet but I've reserved a spot in the center of my 'town square' for it. Everything's coming along slowly but surely.

I'm not super strict about theme though, as that's kinda stressful and I wanna play for fun. That's why one of my villagers runs around in a Solaire shirt shouting Praise the sun! as a greeting. Silliness first. I also made my own paths that have nothing to do with CT and everything to do with prettiness.

Just try to remember that most of your PWPs are removable and you can always do trial and error to find what works best for you :)

My town wasn't planned beforehand, no. As I continued playing, I started to formulate an idea of what "look" I wanted my town to have. I was thinking something fairly suburban with none of the "modern" PWPs. So I sort of built around that. I've placed my PWPs wherever they look nice. I've got a fair idea of what I want it to end up as, but it was a slow work in progress.

My theme is kind of... rustic chic? Pink/sweet/rustic/fairy tale cottage. I laid down my paths first and started building pwps and plot resetting houses around it. Made a couple plot resetting mistakes, though, so sometimes I just roll with the punches and bild around things or put up pwps where they'll look nice!

It's hard because I really want to go with the modern theme, but I like Booker. I did test it out and the modern really could work with a lot of different scenery. It's still cute enough to look good next to Re-Tail. I think I'm just going to keep a spot open for it and put it in last.

@Hypno KK the view with Isabelle is helpful beyond belief. I'm not sure i would've survived if they didn't put that in! The PWP's all look so different even from that when you have them in town though.

What Ive done with my town is Ive laid out where the paths are going and where the trees will be planted with flowers. Then I a pattern down where I approximately want villagers homes. Then the last thing I do is layout where I want the pwps, or sometimes I end up building them as I go if I find a spot I really want to put something. Sometimes Ill put out a pwp the same size of the one I want if it hasnt been suggested yet so a villager wont move into that spot.

Lol, me too, but I have the version with the pink and white flowers.

That's a really good idea, I hadn't thought of that! All my villagers are going have to move into a general area, instead of specific spots so I'm not too worried about their house placement though.
